Lucie founded BeingVR in 2016 with the vision to accelerate equality and diversity in the workforce. As a tech entrepreneur pioneering virtual reality for education and health, she thrives on collaborating on innovation projects for impact. Her role in BeingWellVR is Producer and Creative Director.
Susie is a social entrepreneur and natural leader on a mission to drive change in society through community engagement, economic empowerment and personal growth. Her role in BeingWellVR is to build relationships with mental health providers, partners and collaborators also aligned to our mission and committed to change in the wellbeing industry.
Rod is an Electronics Technologist and combines his experience building hardware and software with his passion for inclusive physical and mental development and rehabilitation, to custom design assistive technology. His development role in BeingWellVR is focussed on User Interactivity and haptics/touch tech promoting user agency and empowerment.
Aaron brings a broad range of skills in creative technology, including an ability to pioneer and custom build virtual reality environments. His role in BeingWellVR is designing optimal User Experience and development of calming nature-scapes suited to immersive meditation.
Ian brings a unique combination of technology and clinical skills to the Occupational Therapy industry. His main areas of practice include chronic pain care, mental health recovery and neurorehabilitation. He is known for his success in using virtual reality therapy with clients and sees a need for greater innovation for impact in the space. Ian is consulting daily with our end users and as such is best placed to advise on challenges we are solving for at a granular level, and product testing in a real and practical manner to ensure we are achieving the desired impact with those that need it most.
Dr Cate is a medical practitioner, therapist, educator, speaker and author.
She has more than 30 years of training and experience in the health area, and a special interest in counselling and mental health. Dr Cate has completed a number of tertiary courses including a Bachelor in Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, a Masters in Health Service Management and a Doctor of Philosophy (Medicine). She also has a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, and has undertaken training in Couple Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy. Her role in BeingWellVR is to advise the Group with input from a medical and therapeutic perspective, and to custom create narrative for use in our multi-sensory VR therapy with a view to embedding this technology in her own practice.
